This is one of my best works with fine art. Charcoal is one of my favorite mediums to use. Human bodies and faces have always been a struggle for me when it comes to art because of the curves and structures we poses. However, I really enjoy how this turned out and am very proud of the results. I added a little tattoo to the arm to add a little more detail. I choose the black paper not just because of the charcoal but because I wanted his features to be the main focus of the piece and so that people could really see the highlight. It is almost like he comes out of the paper but still disappears in the background (black paper). I really enjoyed creating this and it took a while to do.
