This year we all got to witness the Chiefs and the Buccaneers play for the title of the 55th Super Bowl winner title. I choose to showcase the Chiefs because that was the team I was originally going for at the start of the game. Little did I know the would be blown out of the waters.
Super Bowl LV score: Chiefs 9 – Buccaneers 31
How I did it:
I created this design in InDesign and Illustrator. In Illustrator I created the focal point of the poster. I choose a picture that showed some type of action and pulled him into Illustrator. I used different brushes and shapes to add to the effect I was going for. I used the colors from the uniform of the Chiefs player (#10 Tyreek Hill). I added a filter to him to bring an “artistic” look to him. I then exported the Illustrator creation and brought it into InDesign to complete the poster. I found a font as inspiration for the “Chiefs” title on the top of the page. I recreated the font using the pen tool and dropped in a textured image to add some more detail to the title. I did the same with the “LV” on the bottom of the poster. Then I used a font for the remaining text on the poster. The background was the hardest part for me to come up with. I eventually choose a picture of the field and changed the opacity to a very low setting. You can still see the field but it doesn’t take away from the main points of the poster I wanted as priority.
